WHEELER - Graveside rites for William Oliver Hayhurst, 44, of Conway, Ark., native and former longtime Wheeler resident, were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in the Wheeler Cemetery.

The Rev. Harold Perdue, pastor of the First Christian Church, was to officiate. Burial was to be by Wright-Denson Funeral Home.

Mr. Hayhurst was killed May 9 in a construction accident at a dam site on the Arkansas River near Conway. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors are his wife, Thelma, and a stepdaughter, Patty Cullum, both of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hayhurst of Conway; three brothers, Eddie of Dallas, Dale of Memphis, Tenn., and Wesley of Jacksonville, and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Brownfield of Waco.
