Evie Lee Aderholt, 85, Fort Worth, Texas (formerly of Borger, Texas) died Friday, January 30 in Fort Worth. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, at Minton Memorial Chapel, Borger, Texas, with Rev. James Baker, pastor of Primitive Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed at Wheeler Cemetery, Wheeler, Texas, under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger, Texas.
Evie was born February 23, 1929, in Hollis, Oklahoma, to Greer "Jud" and Lillie Mae Cope Anderson. She married Gerald "Ting" Aderholt August 18, 1945, in Wheeler, Texas. They farmed in the Allison and Briscoe communities until 1964 when they bought Gageby (Texas) grocery store. She moved to Borger, Texas, in 1977 and then to Boyd, Texas, in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1975; son, Michael Wayne in 1986; infant son in 1956 and a granddaughter, LeAnn Vaughn Davis, in 1995.
Evie is survived by daughters, Sharon Kemp and husband, Larry, of Borger, Texas, and Phyllis Riley and husband, Mike, of Boyd, Texas; a sister, Rossie Trout, of Reydon, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
