Memorial services for Josephine Villanueva, age 79 of Seminole, Texas will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Joe Lapusan officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Villanueva was born March 12, 1942 in Hutto, Texas to Cecilia (Garza) and John Dominguez. She married Fidel Villanueva, Sr. in Austin, Texas on July 24, 1957. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church and worked for Kirby West for 25 years; she was also a homemaker. She had nine children and loved being their mother and cooking for them all. Josephine enjoyed going to church and singing as well as praying for people. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world.
Josephine Villanueva passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Apex Secure Care Nursing Home in Brownfield, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 49 years, one son, Daniel Villanueva in 1965; one grandson, Anthony; two great-grandsons, and 14 siblings.
She is survived by four sons, Fidel Villanueva, Jr. and wife Mary and Butch Villanueva and wife Maria, both of Seminole, Joe Villanueva and wife Crissy of Lubbock, and Jimmy John Villanueva of Seminole; four daughters, Debbie Regalado and Cecilia Contreras, both of Seminole, Sally Munguia of Harlingen, Texas, and Rosa Norris and husband Adam of Commerce, Texas; two brothers, Louis Dominguez and Manuel Dominguez and wife Maque, both of Round Rock, Texas; one sister, Susanna Zarate of Round Rock, Texas; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
