Wheeler - C.C. "Pete" Baird, 74 died Tuesday Dec. 30, 1986 in Amarillo, TX.
Services will be at 2 pm Jan. 1, 1987 in the First Baptist Church of Wheeler with the Rev. M.B. Smith, retired pastor and Rev. Max Baird of Goodnight, TX officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mr. Baird was born in Knox County, TX, lived in Kelton and Wheeler most of his life. He was an Army veteran of WW II. He was married to Bessie Anderson on Dec 26, 1948. He was a farmer and a member of the VFW. For the past two years, he and his wife have lived at the Good Samaritan Retirement Center in Amarillo, Tx.
Survivors include his wife, a brother J T Baird of Amarillo, and four sisters: Ola Lee Hamilton of Pampa, Gillrie Rogers of Sudan, TX, Lucille Anderson of Midland, TX, and Loraine Wagner of Wheeler.

BESSIE G. BAIRD
MIAMI - Bessie Grace Anderson Baird, 82, died Thursday, January 6, 1994 in Pampa, TX. Services will be a 2 pm at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with the Rev. Jerry Moore, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Miami, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Baird was born on July 11, 1911, in Harmon County, OK to Albert S. and Eugena Anderson. She moved to Wheeler County in 1913. She married C.C. Baird on Dec. 26, 1948 in Shamrock, TX; he died in 1986. She and her husband farmed in Wheeler County from 1948 to 1985 when they retired and moved to Amarillo. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a sister, Esther Shinn of Albuquerque, NM; a brother Gene Anderson of Miami; and several nieces and nephews.
