Allison, TX – Services for Mrs. Betty Jane (Brown) Boydston of Allison, TX, will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 09, 2014 at Allison School Gym in Allison, TX with Rev. F.R. Johnston and Rev. Roger Johnson, officiating. Burial will follow at Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler, TX under the direction of Peppers Family Funeral Home in Wheeler, Texas.

Mrs. Boydston, 81, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 in Amarillo, TX at BSA Hospital.

Mrs. Betty Jane (Brown) Boydston was born June 23, 1932 in Paris, Arkansas to the late Mr. Reed Jackson Brown and Mrs. Lois Beckham. She graduated High School at Covina High School in Covina, California and completed 4 years of College. She married Forrest Glen Boydston on May 8, 2003 in Las Vegas, NV.

Betty enjoyed her work as a warranty representative for Holly Carburetor for several years as well as a warranty representative for Oldsmobile and Toyota for several years. She was a president of the San Clemente Arts and Craft Club. She was also the president of the San Clemente Doll Club. Betty was a member of the San Clemente Historical Society. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Allison, Texas. She loved writing the column "View of a Southern Woman for the Wheeler Times for several years. Betty loved the outdoors and was an avid bird watcher. She enjoyed fishing and watching wildlife. Betty was a professional photographer and enjoyed taking pictures. Family was the center of her world and she was the center of theirs. She will be greatly missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 1 sister, Ruth Moore; 1 son, Patrick Ross O'Connell, her first husband, Gerald O'Connell and her second husband, Joe Napoli.

Betty is survived by 3 sons, Neal Glenn Boydston, William John Baumann, Michael O'Connell; 3 daughters, SaRita Lynn Green, Laurah Marie Durham, Penny Diane Baumann; 2 brothers, Donald Brown, Richard Brown; 1 sister, Shirley Tabler; 10 grandchildren, Kelton Green, Carissa Green, Corinna Boydston, Kendra Blakney, Justin Ballard, Tim Baumann, Gail Wallace, Norman O'Connell, Gerald O'Connell, Kenneth O'Connell; 10 great-grandchildren. The family suggests that memorials be sent to Medical Center League House, 7000 W. Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo, TX. 79106-1820
