WHEELER - Maurine Brotherton, 70, died Monday, April 14, 2003, in Hinton, Okla.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church in Wheeler with Dr. Toby Henson, former pastor of Clyde, and the Rev. Ricky Pfeil of Amarillo officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brotherton was born to Emmett and Ethel Richards Herd in Wheeler on Dec. 29, 1932. She graduated from Wheeler High School in 1951. Mrs. Brotherton married C.B. Brotherton Jr. on May 2, 1958, in Wheeler. She worked in several Wheeler businesses and retired from Wheeler Co-op in 1989. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wheeler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; and a granddaughter, Kayla.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Gary Brotherton and wife, Kathy, of Yukon, Okla.; and three grandchildren, Ryan Brotherton, Janae Brotherton and Adam Brotherton.
The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church Building Fund, Wheeler, TX 79096.
