WHEELER - Armell Holt Brown, 68, died Sunday, June 15, 1997.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Lindley, pastor, and Bill Morrison, minister of the Wheeler Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be at Wheeler Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.

Mrs. Brown was born in Wheeler. She was a graduate of Shamrock High School. She was a member of First Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir and a former member of the Thursday Review Club.

She married R.J. Holt Jr. in 1947 at Wheeler. He died in 1969.

She moved to Dallas in 1975 and worked for MBank for 10 years. She then married Charles R. Brown in 1985, and returned to Wheeler.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Mike Holt of Fort Worth; a daughter, Carol Scott of Houston; two stepsons, David Brown of Barnwell, S.C., and Miles Farnsworth of Albuquerque, N.M.; two stepdaughters, Sally Fincher of Amarillo, and Stacey McQueen of Wheeler; two sisters, Joyce Raby of Waco, and her twin, Maidel Browder of Houston; and four grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to First Methodist Church or the Wheeler Church of Christ.
