Funeral services were held in the Church of Christ in Wheeler, March 10, at 4:00 p.m. for George L. Case, who passed away in Wichita Falls, March 8th, 1957, at the age of 74 years, nine months and three days.
He came to Wheeler county in 1929 and was a retired farmer. He moved to Wichita Falls, in 1946. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
E.M. Borden, Jr., Minister of the Church of Christ in Wheeler officiated at the last rites.
Pallbearers were: Loubet Moore, George Lamb, Leo Lamb, Shelby Pettit, Jess Moore, and N.L. Sechrist.
Survivors are the children, Mrs. Bertha Eaversong of Vernon, Tex., W.L. Case of Wichita Falls, Tex., Mrs. Bea Smotherman of Wheeler, Mrs. Linnie Marriott of Shamrock, Tex.; and Mrs. Opal Red of Mountain View, Okla.
Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. The wife and one son precided [sic] him in death.
Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery beside the wife, who passed away February 11, 1935. Kirk Funeral Home Service.

Mrs. G.L. Case died Monday, Feb. 11, at the Gaines hospital, following an illness of several months. She underwent a major operation last Wednesday and apparently was recovering nicely until a short time before she died.
Florence Walker was born Sept. 1, 1889, in Tennessee and died Feb. 11, at Wheeler, Texas, at the age of 45 years, five months and 10 days. She had lived here for five years, coming from Baylor county, where she had lived for 22 years.
In September, 1906, she was married to G.L. Case and to this union five children were born, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Bertha Hoverson and W.L. Case of Montague county, Mrs. Beatrice Smotherman, Lenna Vee and Opal Case, Wheeler. Other survivors are her husband, mother and two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. N.W. Walker and her daughter., Mrs. Mabel Fuller, Sayre, Okla., and Mrs. Mattie Fuller, Roswell, N. Mex.; brothers, Charley and Tom Walker, Vernon, and a number of distant relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 12, by Rev. H.V. Hendry at the Church of Christ, with interment in the Wheeler cemetery.
