Mrs. Maudie Irene Chance, 79, died Tuesday, July 1, 1980.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3 at the Chritian [sic] Center with Rev. Denzil Leonard pastor of the First Baptist church in Yukon, OK will officate [sic]. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Chance was born in Anson and moved to Wheeler in 1947. She married Joe Chance in 1921 in Fort Smith, Ark.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, A.M. Chance of Sweetwater and Billy Joe Chance of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Woody of Clarendon and Mrs. Charlene Turner of Pampa; two brothers, Lee Thompson of Oklahoma and Willie Thompson of California; three sisters, Mrs. May McIntire, Mrs. Joyce Shelton and Mrs. Florence Cox, all of Anson; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
