WHEELER - Albert Chapman, 85, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Toby Henson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Chapman was born in New Mexico and had lived in Wheeler for 62 years. For 40 years, he owned and operated Albert's Service Station and for 20 years, he was an independent milk distributor. He was a member of the Wheeler Chamber of Commerce and First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two sons; an infant, Billy, and in 1979, Don.

He married Hannah Fae Riley in 1954 at Sayre, Okla.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tootie Nickell of Clarendon; a son, Von Chapman of Wheeler; a stepson, Jimmy D. Atherton of Atlanta; a brother, Bill Chapman of Port Aransas; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church of Wheeler.

WHEELER - Hannah Fae Chapman, 83, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Tom Riley, a nephew, of Iowa Park, and the Rev. Dennis Williams, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mrs. Chapman was born Aug. 18, 1923, in Fairlie to George Thomas Riley and Mary Ann Riley. She lived in Wheeler County all her life. Mrs. Chapman attended Briscoe school and graduated from Briscoe High School.

She married Oddie Albert Chapman in 1954 in Sayre, Okla. She worked at Clay Grocery Store for several years and then operated the flower and gift shop in Wheeler.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wheeler. Mrs. Chapman was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999; a son, Don, in 1979; five brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Atherton and wife Audie of Hoover, Ala., and Von Chapman and wife Cindy of Wheeler; a stepdaughter, Tootie Nickell and husband Dossie of Amarillo; two sisters, Wilma Barker and Minerva Jones, both of Wheeler; a brother, Earl Riley of McLean; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church of Wheeler.
