WHEELER - (Special) - Funeral services for Cicero Sylvester Craig, 63, of Wheeler, were to be held at 2:30 p.m. today in the Wheeler Methodist Church.

A painter and paper-hanger who had lived in Wheeler for the last 51 years, Mr. Craig died suddenly Wednesday night in Wheeler, following his return from Amarillo's Veterans Hospital where he had undergone surgery.

Officiating at the last rites was to be Rev. A.O. McBrayer, pastor, assisted by Joe Preston, minister of the Wheeler Church of Christ.

Burial was to be in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of the Kirk-Mason Funeral Home.

Born March 26, 1890, near Vernon in Wilbarger County, Mr. Craig had been in ill health for the last few years.

Surviving are three daughters, Bernice Caldwell, Mobeetie, and Genice and Elice Craig, both of Wheeler; three brothers, W.M. and W.H. Craig, both of Miami, and F.B. Craig, Borger; a sister, Mrs. H.F. Stemper, Jacksboro; two half-brothers, T.T. Craig, Panhandle, and G.B. Craig; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were to be W.L. Jolly, Levi Reid, Archie Hibler, Clarence Robison, Fred Farmer and S.D. Steck.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ila Thelma Craig will be held at the Wheeler Baptist church Friday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock with Rev. R.L. Porter, Baptist pastor of Lela, officiating.

Mrs. Craig passed away at 9:15 last (Wedsneday) [sic] evening after an illness of several days. She would have been 40 years of age Nov. 24 and has lived in Wheeler since 1936.

She is survived by her husband, twin daughters, Janise and Elise, and four daughters by a former marriage. They are Mrs. Eris Porter, Vinson, Okla.; Mrs. Dorris Wheeler, Canadian; Peggy Manney of Ogden, Utah and Wanda Manney of Wheeler. Two sisters, Mrs. Esta Satathite of San Angelo, Mrs. Tom Crossland, of Wheeler, one brother, D.B. Lewis of Los Angeles, her father, J.F. Lewis of San Angelo, and two half brothers, Stanley Lewis of San Angelo and Horace Lewis, now in the army, also survive.
