*Obituary
Funeral rites for Charles O. Ellis, 72, were conducted Friday afternoon at two o'clock in the First United Methodist Church of Canadian.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Howard Quiett, pastor, and burial was in the Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Stickley Funeral Home.

Mr. Ellis, longtime resident of Canadian died suddenly Wednesday night at his home. He was sitting at the supper table when he was stricken.

Charles Owen Ellis was born January 19, 1901, at Mobeetie, Texas. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Ellis, Wheeler County pioneers. His father owned and operated a General Store in Mobeetie for many years.

Mr. Ellis owned and operated the City Drug Store in Canadian for 10 years, retriing [sic] in 1959. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Parille, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Fredercia Seaman, and grandson John Charles of Alvin, Texas; two brothers, Hugh of Pampa and Hack of Fort Worth; a sister, Mrs. Georgia Tribble of Woodward, Okla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers nephews of the deceased, were Quentin Isasacs, Jack Riley, Harold Cradduck, Ray Laycock, Robert Denson and Mark Cradduck.
