WHEELER — Kenneth Joel Frankenbery, 61, of Wheeler died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, in Elk City, Okla.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Church of Christ in Wheeler with Minister Carol Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler. Arrangements are by Peppers Family Funeral Home in Wheeler.

Mr. Kenneth Joel Frankenbery was born Sept. 28, 1953, in Chanute, Kan., to Mr. Bob Frankenbery and Mrs. Valetta Penn Frankenbery. He graduated from Wheeler High School in 1972. He went to school in Okmulgee to study auto parts. Kenneth worked for several years at Burton Ford and Thompson Auto Parts in Pampa. He was an avid Wheeler Mustang sports fan, and during his high school years, he was the manager for the sports team. He enjoyed all sports including Nascar and fishing. Kenneth was very honored to receive the Man of The Year award from the Wheeler Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of Church of Christ in Wheeler.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Craig Frankenbery.

Survivors include his parents, Bob and Valetta Frankenbery of Wheeler; a brother, Kevin Frankenbery and wife Kathy of Weatherford, Okla.; and a host of friends and family.

The family suggests memorials be to Wheeler ISD Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1010, Wheeler, TX 79096; or Wheeler Area Aquatics Center, P.O. Box 221, Wheeler, TX 79096.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. today at their home, 105 Sweetwater St., Wheeler.
