Amor Carmon Griffin, 68, passed away Monday, June 8, 1970. Length of illness was one year.
Mr. Griffin was born May 8, 1902 in Henry, Texas. His father's name was Albert B. Griffin and his mother was the former Hattie Pearl Fair.
Mr. Griffin had lived in Wheeler Co. since 1911 except for the time he lived in Calif. from 1936 until 1951. He was a veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Army. He was an auto mechanic.
Survivors are 6 brothers, Bogin, Ben, and Al all of Wheeler, Alsey Jeff of Midvale, Utah, Tony and Joe both of Pampa, 3 sisters, Mrs. Tessie Clark of Wheeler, Mrs. Mamie Fisher of White Sulphur Springs, Mont. and Mrs. Sarah Ellen Loiselle, of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Funeral services were held in the Wheeler Church of Christ, Wednesday, June 10, 1970 at 2:30 p.m. Carroll Thomason officiated. Burial services were in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
Pall bearers were J.D. Wallace, Otis Reid, Terrell Gunter, Clarence Holdeman, Milton Liles and Buren Stephens.
