*Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Lem Guthrie will be held in the First Baptist Church in Wheeler Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Frank J. Ross will be in charge of the service.

Mrs. Guthrie passed away in the early morning of November 1, 1961 enroute to Altus from Tipton, Okla. Her body has been brought to Wheeler by Kirk Funeral Home.

Lena Buesing Guthrie was born in Lavoca County June 5, 1874. She was married to Lemuel Guthrie in 1896. The Guthries moved to Wheeler in 1930 from Matador which had been their home since early in the century. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Guthrie had spent most of her time with daughters in Matador and Tipton, Okla.

Mrs. Guthrie was preceded in death by her husband, Lem; a son, the late Lee Guthrie of this city; and a daughter, Mrs. Lovena Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Lamar Guthrie of Hollis, Okla., three daughters, Lillie Edmondson and Lemmie Day of Tipton, Okla., and Mrs. Lloyd Dirickson of Matador.

Interment will be in the Wheeler cemetery with the Kirk Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
