Rosary service for Rose Maeker, 97, of Slaton will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Englunds Chapel. Resurrection Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Nicholas Rendon officiating. Interment will be in the Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Mrs. Maeker passed from this life Monday, Nov. 8, 2004. She was born April 23, 1907 in Muenster. She moved to the Posey Community in 1919 from Lindsey. Rose married Ed J. Maeker Feb. 5, 1925 in Slaton. He preceded her in death in 1972. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Rose is survived by her sons, Ed of Slaton and Lyndon of Houston; a daughter, Betty German of New Braunfels; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
