Florence Zlaire [sic] Hooker, 79, passed away in Highland General Hospital in Pampa Tuesday, January 24, 1967 after an illness of several years.
Mrs. Hooker was born to Mr. and Mrs. Leland Riley in Illinois on May 6, 1887. She was married to J. Walter Hooker in 1905 in Greer Co., Okla. She had been a Wheeler resident since 1907.
Survivors include her husband, Walter of Wheeler; three daughters: Mrs. Frank Buchanan of Pauls Valley, Okla., Mrs. Marian Bolong of Yakima, Wash., and Mrs. Bill Robertson of Pampa; two sons: J.W. Hooker, Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., and Odous Hooker of San Francisco, Calif.; one sister: Mrs. Mettie Kissinger of Tyler, Texas; four brothers: Leland Riley of Wynoka, Okla., Clyde Riley of Akron, Ohio, Glen Riley of Akron, Ohio and Harvey Riley of Akron, Ohio.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Church of Christ in Wheeler, Thursday, Jan. 26, 1967 at 2:30 p.m.
Jim Kelly, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Wheeler Cemtery [sic] under the direction of Wright-Denson Funeral Home.
