WHEELER - Opal Hutchison, 88, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wheeler First Baptist Church with Joe Jernigan officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre, Okla.

Opal Hutchison was born March 9, 1919, in Alma, Ark., to Ruby and Rollie Anglen. She passed away Aug. 22, 2007, in Wheeler at the age of 88 years, five months and 13 days.

Opal moved with her family to Wheeler when she was 16 years old. She married Robert Hutchison on Aug. 21, 1939, in Wheeler. They remained in Wheeler to make their home and she worked for Parkview Hospital for 17 years as a nurse's aide, retiring in 1989. Opal enjoyed crocheting, sewing and working in her garden, but most of all she loved being with her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Wheeler First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Darrell and Hershel; two brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include a daughter, Jaunita Shugart and husband, Robert of Shamrock; two sons, James Hutchison and wife Judy of Kingfisher, Okla., and Eugene Hutchison and wife Loneta of Sayre; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Patterson and husband Nile of Claude; two brothers, Floyd Anglen of Claude and John Anglen of Simi Valley, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home in Sayre and 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Wheeler First Baptist Church.
