Mrs. Annie Wright Jackson passed away Friday, March 9, at Pampa, following a long illness. About a month or six weeks ago her condition became serious and she was taken to a hospital in Pampa, where she underwent an operation, from which she never recovered.

Mrs. Jackson was born June 22, 1892, in Little Rock, Ark., and died March 9, 1934, in Pampa at the age of 41 years, 8 months and 17 days.

She was married to W.E. Jackson on July 26, 1907, at Bowie. To this union three children were born, Otis and Miss Thelma of Wheeler and Mrs. R.I. Snyder of Pampa. Besides the children she is survived by her husband, W.E. Jackson of Wheeler, and one grandson Don Otis Snyder of Pampa, and one sister Mrs. J. M. Elkins of Freeport.

Mrs. Jackson was converted and joined the Baptist Church at Bowie when a young girl and was an active member in all church work as long as her health would permit. She has lived in Wheeler County since 1920.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Alamo Starkey Sunday, March 11, at the Baptist church in Wheeler, with burial in the Wheeler Cemetery.

The pall bearers were Norwood McPherson, D.A. Hunt, Terrell Gunter, W.O. Puett, J.I. Maloy and W.W. Adams.

Those from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mrs. J.M. Elkins and son Curtis of Freeport, Tom L. Skinner of Velasco, Mrs. M. H. Jackson of Graham, Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Jackson of Walsh, Colo., Herbert Jackson and family of Amarillo, Lester Jackson, Mrs. Myrtle Davidson, Mrs. White, Mrs. Martha Walker and Mr. and Mrs. R.I. Snyder and son, all of Pampa, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Redman and son of Follett, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Taylor of Darrouzette, and Clent Hill of Canadian.
