Funeral services for C. Everett Jackson were conducted at the Church of Christ here Monday afternoon at 2:30 with Ministers B.M. Litton of Memphis and E.V. Bailey of Borger officiating. Minister O.F. Shoemaker, pastor of the Kelton Church of Christ, was in charge of the song service.
Mr. Jackson passed away at Wheeler last Friday morning about 1:15 o'clock after being stricken with a heart attack. He was born at Olustee, Okla. January 16, 1889, and was 62 years, 8 months and 26 days old at the time of his death.
The Jacksons came to Wheeler in 1919 and moved to the Kelton community about four years ago. They were living in Kelton at the time of his death.
Survivors include; The wife, Mrs. Vida Jackson; three sons, J.B. Jackson of Lincoln, Arkansas, George and Leo Jackson of Pampa; five daughters, Mrs. Pauline Shawl of Beulah, Idaho, Mrs. Vera Sikes of Dallas, Mrs. Frances Smithson of Dalhart and Charlene and Linda Marie Jackson of the home; four brothers, Jack of Pampa, Benton of Kansas City, Mo., Owen and Philip of Washington; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Rogers of Springtown and six grandchildren. Five brothers and one grandchild preceded him in death.
Pall bearers were: Bud Harris, White Whiteley, Warren Britton, Edgar Blocker, D.D. Vines and Floyd Pennington.
Honorary pall bearers were: Marion Addison and Levi Garrison.
Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery with Kirk-Mason Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
