Obituary for Shirley Moore Patterson Jolly
Shirley Moore Patterson Jolly, 83, of Wheeler died Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in Wheeler.
Services will be 10:00 am Friday, August 17, 2018 in Cornerstone Church in Wheeler with Rev. Erron Mercer, officiating. Burial will follow at Wheeler Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Shirley was born February 8, 1935 in Wheeler to C.L. “Fat” Moore and Vera Holt Moore Barnes. She was born and raised in Wheeler County and was a graduate of Wheeler High School. She married Virgil Allen Patterson on April 4, 1953 in Wheeler. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1980. She later married Earl Dee Jolly, Jr. on March 20, 1982. She was a homemaker and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the First Baptist Church in Wheeler. She attended numerous sporting events to watch her grandkids and great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Virgil Patterson; and a son in law, Elmer Ray Harrison.
Survivors include her husband Earl Jolly of Wheeler; 4 daughters, Vickey Nelson of Briscoe, Cathy Hooper and husband Frank of Amarillo, Brenda Martin and husband Craig of Elk City, Oklahoma and DeAnn Foshee and husband Jerry of Elk City, Oklahoma; 2 sons, Steve Patterson and wife Krysti of Del City, Oklahoma and Myron Jolly of Wheeler; 3 brothers, Leon Moore and wife Kay of Farmington, New Mexico, Darrell Moore and wife Beth of Amarillo and Charles Moore of Wheeler; a sister, Connie Baker and husband Rev. Stanley of Cache, Oklahoma; her aunt, Glenda Burnett of Cincinnati, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, Danny Nelson, Jimmy Nelson, Keri Bullock, Chad Harrison, Brad Harrison, Jeffery Patterson, Jordan Patterson, Jennifer Barton, Kyle Martin, Kindra Jolly, Angela Jolly, Tanner Collins, Ashton Crews, Kenzy Nagle, and Madison Nagle; 17 great grandchildren, Danielle Nelson, Amy Murray, Haylee Nelson, Caden Nelson, Austen Nelson, Audree Nelson, Lexi Harrison, Kylie Harrison, Tyler Harrison, Levi Harrison, Emily Harrison, Adalyn Barton, Jonathan Barton, Karson Givens, Kinadee Givens, Ila Lace Collins, Emma Collins; and 1 great great grandchild arriving in September.
The family request that memorials be sent to Canadian Hospice or Cornerstone Church in Wheeler.
