Edward "Billye" Morgan, veteran Texas newspapers man was a member of The Paducah Post staff for 28 years.
Services for Billye Morgan, 58, were held at Norris Funeral Home officiated by Rev. John H Crow, pastor of First Methodist Church.
Survived by one brother - Irl Morgan.
A beloved figure in Paducah, Texas for more than 25 years, he was a valued employee as a newspaperman and printer. Mr. Morgan was a member of the Methodist church and Knights of Pythias.
Mr. Morgan left Paducah in 1936 after purchasing the Italy Herald, a weekly newspaper in Italy, Texas. He sold the business in 1938 and moved to Merkel, Texas.
