Lester Moss of Paducah, a Cottle County commissioner from 1957 until August 1991, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 1992. He was 67.

Mr. Moss, born in Hackberry, had been a longtime Paducah area resident. He graduated from Paducah High School in 1942. He married Gladys Kathryn Frazier in 1944. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Japan.

He was a member of the Paducah Cemetery Association Board, Cottle County Tax Appraisal Board, the Heritage Museum Association, Cottle County Insect Control Organization, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Masonic Lodge, Paducah Dragon Booster Club and the First Baptist Church.

Mr. Moss also was active in the construction of Dan E. Richards Airport and the City and County Park Project.
