MOBEETIE - Flora Mae Kelley, 95, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with Gary Jahnel, former pastor, and Dick Irvine, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.
Mrs. Kelly was born Sept. 14, 1909, in Throckmorton County to John Henry and Gertrude Gordon. Mrs. Kelley had moved to Mobeetie as a child. She graduated from Wheeler High School and received her degree in home economics from West Texas State University. She married Clyde Kelley in 1939 and moved to Dallas for several years. They returned to Mobeetie in 1945. Mrs. Kelley taught school for several years in Wheeler County. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mobeetie.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Kelley and Jeff Kelley, both of Mobeetie, and Robert Kelley of Amarillo; a daughter, Mary Beth Schoon of Amarillo; a brother, George Gordon of Monmouth, Ore.; two sisters, Elda Wilson of Pampa and Lucille Kilbreath of Lubbock; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church of Mobeetie.
