WHEELER - Edward Killingsworth, 89, died Monday, July 6, 1998.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church of Wheeler with the Rev. Toby Henson, pastor, and the Rev. James Conner, retired, of First Baptist Church Kelton, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home. Local arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.

Mr. Killingsworth was born in Shamrock. He farmed in Beckham County, Okla., until he moved to Kelton in 1937. After his retirement in 1974, he moved to Wheeler.

He married Pauline Hill in 1926 at Erick.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Paula Weltry of Hereford; three sons, Carroll Killingsworth of Amarillo, Kenneth Killingsworth of Shamrock and Jerry Killingsworth of Wheeler; a brother, Roland of Anaheim, Calif.; a sister, Blanche Smith of Erick; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Viewing will be at Wright Funeral Home in Wheeler. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity.

Pauline Killingsworth, 98, of Amarillo, formerly of Wheeler, died Monday, June 25, 2007.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Wheeler Cemetery with H. B. Krug officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors.

Pauline was born May 19, 1909, in La Grange, Ga. At the age of 8, she and her family moved to Erick, Okla. She married Edward Killingsworth and they farmed in the Erick area until moving to Kelton in 1936. After retiring from farming in 1973, they moved to Wheeler.

She was preceded in death by Edward in July 1998; a granddaughter, Tonya; a great-granddaughter, Ruth; two daughters-in-law, Vondell and Audra; a son-in-law, Wayne Milam; and three brothers, Mickle, Wilson and M.L.

Survivors include three sons, Carroll Killingsworth of Canyon, Kenneth Killingsworth and wife Koleene of Duncan, Okla., and Jerry Killingsworth and wife Ann of Wheeler; a daughter, Paula Welty and husband Marvin of Hereford; eight grandchildren, Russell, Michell, Sharon, David, Tracey, Karan, Michael and Jeff; 18 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maude Harrell of Velma, Okla.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to the staff Christmas fund, Craig Retirement Community, 5500 W. Ninth Ave., Amarillo, TX 79106; or BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.

Viewing will be from noon until 8 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home in Wheeler.
