Funeral services for Betty Mize Langley were conducted at the Church of Christ here Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock with Minister Tom Seay officiating.
Mrs. Langley, who was only 17 years, 5 months and 8 days old at the time of her death, had been a resident of Wheeler all her life, having been born here on May 30, 1935.
Betty Mize Langley had given birth to a baby girl, Paula Sue, only a few days previous to her passing, but was apparently recovering nicely and had been released from a local hospital on Thursday before she was stricken late Friday. She passed away Saturday.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd Langley of Shamrock and the daughter, Paula Sue; her mother, Mrs. Gracie Mize of Wheeler; and three sisters, Mrs. Ruthie Mae Stephens of Borger, Mrs. Mamie Rhoten of Fort Worth, and Miss Una Mize of Wheeler.
Pall bearers were Charlie Blevens, M.L. Rowan, Chester Bowles, Buddy Jackson, Virgil Patterson and Pug Gardner.
Interment was in the family plot in the Wheeler Cemetery near her father who passed away May 8, 1945. Kirk-Mason Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
