CANADIAN - Garry "Pal" Lister, 58, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Burkholder officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian.
Mr. Lister was born Dec. 28, 1947, in Wheeler to the late R.O. Lister and Doretta Calcote Moore. He was a graduate of Miami High School. He then went on and graduated with a business administration degree from West Texas University.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Nancy Darling on Aug. 22, 1992, in Wheeler. They moved to Canadian in January 2006 from Miami. He was a self-employed accountant and a member of First Baptist Church in Miami.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lister; three sons, Mark Lister of North Carolina, Robert Lister of Bay City and Bryan Sears of Coalgate, Okla.; a brother, Jerry Lister of Wheeler; and five grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to the Edward Abraham Memorial Home, 803 Birch, Canadian, TX 79014.
