WHEELER - Charles E. Loter, 86, died Friday, Aug. 23, 1991.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Wheeler Cemetery with the Rev. Weldon Rives, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are be Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Loter had lived most of his life in Wheeler, but recently moved to Corpus Christi. He was retired farmer and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wheeler.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel N. Loter; a son, Dr. Joe C. Loter of Corpus Christi; a brother, Lawrence L. Loter of Dinero; a sister, Eula Perrin of Kingsville; and four grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to First United Methodist Church in Wheeler.

WHEELER - Ethel N. Loter, 82, died Friday, July 18, 1997, in Corpus Christi.

Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Wesley United Methodist Church at Corpus Christi with the Rev. Sue Nelson Gibson, pastor, officiating. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church at Wheeler with the Rev. Rob Lindley, pastor, officiating. Private burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mrs. Loter was born in Throckmorton County and graduated from Throckmorton High School. She married Charles E. Loter in 1941 at Alpine. They moved to Wheeler from Fort Davis. They lived in Wheeler until 1988, when they moved to Corpus Christi.

Mrs. Loter was a clerk for McIlhaney's Dry Goods for many years. She was a member and past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Wheeler First United Methodist Church and a teacher of the Friendship Sunday School Class. She had an associate membership at Wesley United Methodist Church Corpus Christi.

Mr. Loter died in 1991. Survivors include a son, Dr. Joe C. Loter of Corpus Christi; four sisters, Josephine Coffman and Quetana Drumm, both of Princeton, Idaho, Inell Sproul of Fort Davis and Audrey West of Alto, N.M.; a brother, John Newton of Princeton; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be to Wheeler United Methodist Church.
