Funeral services for Mr. James Lee Mann, 89, were held Saturday, August 8, 1970 with Rev. Bennie Langdon officiating and Robert Bogart assisting.

Mr. Mann was born in New Albany, Mississippi March 17, 1881. He passed away in Parkview Hospital Thursday, August 6, 1970.

He had lived in Wheeler County for thirty-eight years.

Survivors are his wife, Allie of Wheeler; two sons, Ira L of Wheeler and Chester J. of Scottsdale, Arizona; one daughter, Mrs. Florence Strickland of Okemah, Oklahoma; two brothers, Henry of Phoenix, Arizona, and Alix of Bakersfield, California; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son and one daughter.

Pall bearers were Glenn Markham, Frank Coates, Cecil Bailey, A.D. Eads, Charles Risner adn Noah Meyer.

Interment was in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.

WHEELER (Staff) - Funeral services for Mrs. Allie A. Mann, 86, were held at 2 p.m. today at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Wheeler Cemetery directed by Wright Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mann died Wednesday in Shamrock General Hospital.

She was born in Palo Pinto in 1884 and was married in 1898 to the late James Lee Mann in Comanche, Okla. A wheeler County resident 39 years, she had lived at the Golden Spread Nursing Home in Shamrock for a year.

Survivors include two sons, Ira L. of Wheeler and Chester of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Florence Strickland of Okemah, Okla.; a brother, J.P. Ainsworth of California; 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
