Mrs. Eula Melinda Markham, 92, died Thursda, August 2, 1979, at Abraham Memorial Home in Canadian.
Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church in Allison Saturday, August 4. Rev. Ernie McGaughey officiated at the 2:30 services.
Eula Melinda Seawright was born January 9, 1887, at Yantis, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Seawright. She was married to Charlie Markham on January 13, 1907 in Duncan, Oklahoma. The Markham family moved to the Allison area in 1908 and Eula made this her home until she moved to the rest home. Charlie Markham preceded his wife in death in 1919. Eula Markham was married to Columbus Markham in Wheeler on September 23, 1921; he preceded her in death in 1960.
Mrs. Markham was a member of the Methodist Church.
Eula Melinda Markham is survived by five sons, Cloyde of Stephenville, Bob of Allison, Ralph of Tahalequah [sic], Okla., Glen of Wheeler, and Cecil of Carlsbad, N.M.; one daughter, Mrs. Avis Parker of Allison; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, one son, 2 grandsons, one great grandchild and one great great grandchild.
Burial was in the Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were the Grandsons: Cloyde Lee Markham, Don Markham, George Markham, Jack Markham, Ricky Markham and Winston Rainey.
