R.D. Mason, 80, died, Monday, June 20, 1988.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wed., June 22, at First Baptist Church of Wheeler. Rev. Robert Helsley, pastor, and Rev. M.B. Smith, retired Baptist minister, officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mr. Mason was born in Whitesboro moved to Wheeler County in 1929. He was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a farmer in Wheeler County and a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include four brothers, Everette Mason of Garland, Troy Mason of Sherman, Ray Mason of Pampa, and W.E. Dub Mason of Wheeler; and a sister, Edna Garner of Mustang, Okla.
Pallbearers were: John Dudley, Richard Gaines, Tony Griffin, W.L. Jolly, Marvin Pierce, and Eli Sabbe.
Honorary Pallbearers were Terrell Gunter, Jerry Hefley and Jesse Moore.
