Dorothy Adelaide McIlhany, 70, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church. The Revs. Ernie McGaughey and Wayne Sheffield will officiate. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery and will be directed by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. McIlhany was born in Dallas and was employed at Braniff Airways until she married Grainger McIlhany in 1955. She was named Woman of the Year in 1979 by the Wheeler Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Tom McIlhany of Abilene and Bill McIlhany of Austin; a daughter, Ann Kirkpatrick of Houston; a sister, Mary Louise Howell of Dallas and seven grandchildren.
The family requests memorials to First United Methodist Church of Wheeler.
