WHEELER - Margie Vaughn Meadows, 86, died Monday, April 7, 2008.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Wheeler with Dale Meadows, minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Margie Vaughn Meadows was born July 10, 1921, to M. H. and Effie Haddox Vaughn in Commerce. She married B.F. "Red" Meadows on Nov. 20, 1937, in Texola, Okla. Mrs. Meadows was a lifetime resident of Wheeler, where she worked for Briscoe ISD as a cook and bus driver.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two daughters, Margie Lou Trimble and Vaughnell Hughes; a son, E.J. Meadows; a grandchild, Robert Meadows; an infant grandson; and two sisters, Susie Fulks and Lois Hudson.
Survivors include three sons, Brady Meadows of Wheeler, Richard Meadows of Briscoe and John Meadows of Wimberly; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, E.T. Vaughn of Flatonia.
