Funeral services for William Clyde Meek, 67, who died Wednesday were held at 3:00 p.m., Friday in First Baptist Church, Wheeler.

Officiating at the services were the Rev. Sanford Cole of Canadian and Rev. David Campbell of Wheeler, with burial in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Meek had lived in Wheeler and Hemphill Co. since 1917 moving here with his family. He moved to Wheeler in 1963. He was a farmer and rancher all of his life.

Mr. Meek was a member of Gageby Baptist Church.

Pall bearers were Carnis Meek, Clinton Meek, Jack Meek, J.P. Meek, Wayne Meek and Roy Meadows.

Survivors include his wife, Elva of Wheeler; one son, Grant of Canadian; his mother, Mrs. Edward Meek of Wheeler; 5 brothers, Carnis, Wheeler; Clinton of Carbondale, Ill., Jack, J.P. and Wayne, all of Canadian; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lois Meadows, Briscoe and Mrs. Lola Cyphers of Odessa and 4 grandchildren.
