W.O. Miller died Wednesday, June 20, at his home in Wheeler.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Wheeler Methodist Church. The Rev. Bob Ely officiated.
Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery under direction of Kirk Funeral Home.
Winfred Orester Miller was born at Columbus, Ga., June 8, 1873. He was married to Miss Sallie Williams March 3, 1897 at Clyde, Tex., and moved to Wheeler in 1916 from Paducah.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Methodist Church. He was engaged in farming and ranching all of his active life, and served as a county commissioner from 1922 to 1930.
He had resided in Wheeler since his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, six daughters, Mrs. Bill Hayhurst of Conway, Ark., Mrs. J.L. Parker of Tierra Amarilla, N.M., Mrs. Ted Clay of Chowchilia, Calif., Mrs. Dorman Landtroop of Carmichael, Calif., and Mrs. John Conner and Mrs. Martin Callan of Wheeler; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Windham of Sacramento, Calif.; Two sons, one daughter, four brothers and six sisters preceded him in death.
Serving as pall bearers were: Worth Miller, Theodore Conner, S.D. Miller, Joe Brownfield, Harold Callan, Monroe Page.
Named as honorary Pall bearers were R.H. Forrester, Owen Jones, Milton Liles, John Barr, Shelby Pettit, Ben Trout, Dick Guynes, Russell Barker.
