*Obituary
Lucy Smith Monroe, 96, died Sunday, April 13, 1986.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m. April 15, in First Baptist Church, Rev. Ricky Pfeil, pastor of Wheeler Christian Center, officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Monroe was born in Mount Pleasant and was a graduate of Chickasha Music College. She taught organ, piano and speech in Kentucky and Texas. She taught in Amarillo until retiring in 1973. She moved to Wheeler in 1984 and was a member of Amarillo First Baptist Church. Her Husband, F.F., preceded her in death.
Survivors include a brother, Ed L. Smith of Wheeler; and a sister, Connie Lambert of Wheeler.
Pallbearers were: Tim Elliott, Michael Griffin, Dee Miller, Charles Newberry, Bill Owen, Frank Young.
