WHEELER - Raymond Moore, 90, died Friday, April 7, 2006, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in First United Methodist Church in Shamrock with the Rev. Terry Lowe, pastor, and the Rev. Ken Cole of Amarillo officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Moore was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Hood County to J.C. and Addie Thomas Moore.

He moved to Wheeler County in 1918. He married Isabell Hunter on Dec. 30, 1936, in Wheeler. They moved to the Kelton community in 1937, where he farmed and ranched. He served as a board member for Kelton ISD. Mr. Moore was a member of the Kelton Lions Club, served on the Wheeler County Farm Bureau Board and on the Wheeler County Appraisal District Board.

Mr. Moore moved to Craig Methodist Retirement Center in Amarillo in 1998. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kelton until it closed in 1991. He then became a member of First United Methodist Church in Shamrock.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabell, in 2002; a granddaughter in 1980; five brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Meek and husband Grant of Wheeler; a son, Garland Moore and wife Rachel of Kelton; a sister, Bess Cole of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Todd Meek, Lisa Meek Reeves, Shonda Meek Smith, Eddie Meek, Matt Moore, Teresa Moore Albus and Julie Moore Brooke. and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Craig Retirement Center, 5500 W. Ninth Ave., Amarillo, TX 79106 or First United Methodist Church in Shamrock.

SHAMROCK - Isabell Moore, 86, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Westman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Moore was born Dec. 30, 1915, in Wheeler. She married Raymond Moore on Dec. 30, 1936, in Wheeler and they moved to Kelton in January 1937. She was a homemaker and lived in Wheeler County all of her life. She attended school at Corn Valley and Wheeler.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Garland Moore and wife, Rachel, of Kelton; a daughter, Karen Meek and husband, Grant, of Wheeler; two sisters, Betty Inez Foltz of Munster, Ind., and Thelma Hammond of El Paso; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church of Shamrock; or Craig Methodist Alzheimer's Unit, 5500 W. Ninth Ave., Amarillo, TX 79106.
