WHEELER - Jess Moore, 89, died Monday, June 29, 1998.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Toby Henson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.

Mr. Moore was born in Granbury and moved to Wheeler County in 1918. He was a longtime farmer and rancher. He served on the board of directors of the First National Bank of Wheeler for 20 years, was a member of the state ASCS committee and a member of the Wheeler County ASCS. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He married Curtis Coraetta Ashley in 1933 at Wheeler.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Margaret Pendleton of Wellington, Bonnie Wuerflein of Hereford, Eileen Huyck of Kansas City, Mo., and Nancy Schilling of Follett; his twin sister, Bess Cole of Dalhart; two brothers, Raymond Moore of Kelton and E.M. Moore of Wheeler; 13 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.

The family requests memorials be to First Baptist Church of Wheeler.

WHEELER - Curtis Moore, 87, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Toby Henson, pastor, and the Rev. Stan Baker, pastor of Lone Oak Baptist Church in Sayre, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moore was born in Wheeler and graduated from Wheeler High School. A lifelong resident of Wheeler, she was a member of Wheeler Garden Club, Pen Handlers Club, 54 Study Club and Wheeler Chamber of Commerce. She was a Sunday school teacher and member of First Baptist Church.

She married Jesse Dee Moore in 1933 at Wheeler. He died in June.

Survivors include four daughters, Margaret Pendleton of Wellington, Bonnie Wuerflfein of Hereford, Eileen Huyck of Kansas City, Mo., and Nancy Schilling of Follett; five sisters, Edith Smithand Barbara Bates, both of Amarillo, Joan Thornberry of Goodnight, Gertrude Green of Wichita Falls and Vergie Guynes of Borger; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be to Wheeler Cemetery Association.
