J.C. Moore, Jr., 75, died Sunday, March 4, 1979 in Pampa.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 5, 1979 at First Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Hogan officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Moore, born at Granbury, moved to Wheeler County in 1918. He married Jewel Kerr June 30, 1927, at Childress. He retired from farming eight years ago. J.C. was president of Wheeler Cemetery Association.

Pallbearers were: Stanley Baker, Thurman Horn, Darrell Moore, Ed Moore, Garland Moore, Leon Moore.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Bob of Annandale, Va.; four daughters, Mrs. JoRean Hubbard of Amarillo, Mrs. LaVeta Williams of Lynchburg, Va., Sherry and Jerrie Moore, both of the home; five brothers, Jess, C.L., Marion, all of Wheeler, Leo of Dalhart and Raymond of Kelton; a sister, Mrs. Bess Cole of Lefors; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
