Mrs. Moore later attended beauty school in Amarillo and owned and operated a beauty shop in Mobeetie for one and a half years. She was a telephone operator for a short time before she married J.C. Moore Jr. in Wheeler on June 30, 1927.

She had lived in the Wheeler area since 1918. She was the mother of five children. Mrs. Moore was a member of First Baptist Church of Wheeler, Progressive Study Club, North Wheeler County Garden Club and Dorcas Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three daughters; a son; and her husband in 1979.
