Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Ann Moore were conducted from the First Baptist Church in Wheeler Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. J.E. Willeford, pastor of the Briscoe Baptist Church, in charge and assisted by Rev. M.B. Smith and B.M. Litton, minister of the local Church of Christ.

Mrs. Martha Ann Moore, nee Brazil, was born in Parker County, Texas August 3, 1878 and passed away at Wheeler February 21, 1949 at the age of 70 years, 6 months and 18 days.

Martha Ann Brazil was married to John Lowrey in 1904 and to this union two children were born, Horace in 1906 who died in infancy, and Clara, Mrs. Loyd Childress of Briscoe, was born in 1908. During the year 1907 the husband, John Lowrey, passed away.

Mrs. Lowery was united in marriage with Andrey H. Moore in 1909 and to this union five sons were born. The sons are: Oscar of Sebastapol, Calif.; Andrey of Graton, Calif.; Huell of Santa Rosa, Calif.; Joe B. of Santa Rosa, Calif.; one son, Duncan, preceded his parents in death. Mr. Moore passed away in January 1942.

Eight step-children who survive include: J.H. Moore of Turlock, Calif.; B.F. Moore of Graton, Calif.; Linnie Phillips of New Mexico; Ina Robison of New Mexico; Willie Burkhalter of New Mexico; Mattie Reiger of Los Angeles, Calif.; Jimmy Lovell of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and Cottie Wagner of Mineral Wells.

Three step-children preceded Mrs. Moore in death.

There are 14 surviving grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Sally Meadows of Wheeler and Mrs. Mary Cox of Rogers, Arkansas, and two brothers, Will Brazil of Amarillo, and George Brazil of Fresno, Calif. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Mrs. Moore and her family moved to this community approximately 30 years ago where they resided until about 12 years ago when they moved to Pampa for a short time before moving on to California. Mrs. Moore had returned from California about three months ago to visit relatives in Wheeler and Briscoe.

Mrs. Moore had been a member of the Baptist Church since she was 14 years of age.

Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery with Kirk-Mason Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pall bearers were Cliff Walker, Cash Walker, Omar Mosier, Kenneth Douthit, Roy Waters, and Oden Hudson.

Serving as flower attendants were: Janice D'Spain, Wanda Swift, Patsy Waters, Jeanette Dixon, Imogene Pannell, Mary Louise Riley, Patsy Tipps and Nancy Walker.
