*Obituary
Eunice Ann Morgan, former resident of Wheeler, passed away in Carthage, Missouri on Tuesday, December 1, and funeral services were held here in Wheeler Sunday, December 6 with Rev. Carroll Jones assisted by O.C. Evans, Shamrock, officiating.
Eunice Ann Farris, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel L. Farris was born in Anadarko, Oklahoma on December 27, 1905. She attended school in Wheeler, and on March 6, 1926 she married Willie T. Morgan of Canadian, Texas. They lived in the Wheeler Community until 1949 when they moved to Carthage where her husband operated a gas station.
Mrs. Morgan has been ill for the past 10 days. She was 53 years, 11 months and 4 days old when she died.
Survivors include the husband, W.T. Morgan; 3 sons, Jack Morgan, Willie Ed Morgan and Sid Morgan; 2 daughters, Mrs. Melba Vaughn, and Mrs. Mary Richards; 4 sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bohming, Mrs. Mary Schaffar, Mrs. Ruth Strout, Mrs. Cordie Jones; 4 brothers, Boyce Farris, Coleman Farris and R.P. Farris.
Surviving also are 5 grandsons, 1 son, and 1 sister preceded her in death.
Pall bearers included: Lloyd Childress, George Porter, Terril Gunter, Ben Trout, Murray Sanders and B.F. Meadows, Jr.
Named as honorary pall bearers were: Harry Wofford, Tom Croslin, Lawrence Crowder, Russel Miles and Loubet Moore.
Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetary [sic] under the direction of the Kirk Funeral Home.
