Bill Morrison, 57, died Wednesday, September 5, 2001, at Shamrock, Texas. Funeral services were Sunday, September 9, 2001, at 3:00 P.M. at the Church of Christ in Wheeler, Texas, with Gary Kirksey of Lubbock and Dick Marcear of Amarillo officiating.
Burial was in the Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Bill was born to John and Kathren Condon Morrison on November 13, 1943, in Quanah, Texas. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School and Abilene Christian College with a degree in Bible. Bill married Nancy Phillips on August 18, 1967, in Amarillo, Texas. He was the minister of the Church of Christ in Frederickburg [sic], Ozona and Lamesa prior to moving to Wheeler in 1985. He was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Ian Morrison in 1971.
Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home; his parents, John and Kathren Morrison of Dumas; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Nicki Morrison of Carlsbad, N.M.; two daughters, Lori Morrison of Amarillo and Bekah Morrison of Canyon; two sisters, Earlene Morrison Latninack of Dumas and Candyce Morrison of Dallas, and one grandson, Kyle Hewitt of Carlsbad, N.M.
Memorials may be made to the Bill Morrison Memorial Fund 5 Wheeler Banking Center, or a favorite charity.
