WHEELER - Mae Adell Rambo Nash, 97, died Monday, May 29, 2006, in Phoenix.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church in Wheeler with the Rev. Bill Stiles, pastor of Allison Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home,

Mrs. Nash was born May 15, 1909, in Durant, Okla., to Walter and Alice Rambo. Mrs. Nash was the sixth of eight children. Mrs. Nash taught school one year at Corn Valley near Wheeler and 11 years in Oklahoma. For a short time she lived and taught in Spearman. She continued her teaching career in Wheeler until she retired. She married Harold Nash in 1939. He died in 1996. Mae was very involved in First United Methodist Church, Wednesday Study Club, and numerous civic and school activities.

Survivors include a son, Garth and wife Zandra Nash of Phoenix; a daughter, Marilyn Nash of Phoenix; two grandsons, Brett Nash of Phoenix and Brannon and wife Cristy of Midland; a great-grandson, Chase Isaac Nash of Midland; 17 nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church of Wheeler, P.O. Box 89, Wheeler, TX 79096.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
