PANHANDLE - (HC) - Daulton Ford Newkirk, 62, died Thursday.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Shamrock,with the Rev. M.B. Smith at Pampa, officiating.

Burial will be in Wheeler County Cemetery by Richerson Funeral Home of Shamrock.

Mr. Newkirk was born at Jack County and came to Panhandle from Amarillo seven months ago. He was owner and operator of the County Kitchen Cafe.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Pearl; two sons, Lance of the home and Daulton Jr. of Houston; six daughters, Rhonda, Cynthia and Melanie of the home, Mrs. Jim Hensley of Shamrock, Mrs. Max Rucker of Amarillo and Mrs. Ted Poling of Quanah; two brothers, T.C. of Amarillo and Rex of Colorado; three sisters, Mrs. Roma McCoy of Portales, N.M., Mrs. Neal Raymonds and and Mrs. Elsie Hollabaugh both of Shamrock; and one granddaughter.

Edna Pearl Newkirk, 76, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in South Georgia Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.

Pearl went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012. Pearl was born March 3, 1936, in Wellington to Carl Herman Seymour and Alma Mae Breeding Seymour. She married the love of her life Daulton Ford Newkirk on Sept. 16, 1964, in Las Vegas, N.M. She was a restaurant owner for many years. Pearl never met a stranger. She loved to dance and play bingo. She enjoyed going to Las Vegas and gambling. Pearl had a love for animals. She loved her Lord and her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Survivors include a son, Lance Newkirk and wife Tina of Amarillo; three daughters, Rhonda Livingston and husband John, Cynthia Blum and husband Rob and Melanie Sanders and husband Bobby, all of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Shayna, Misty, Jacob, Sarah, John Daulton, Brecken, Garret and Grace; and several great-grandchildren whom she loved and cherished.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
