*Obituary
WHEELER - Mitchell Luther (Speck) Newkirk, 40, of Tracy, Calif., a former Wheeler resident, died Sunday in a Tracy hospital of a brain hemorrhage.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Wright-Denson Funeral Home of Wheeler.
Mr. Newkirk was born and reared in Wheeler. He moved to Tracy from Wheeler about a year ago. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, two daughters; brothers, one of Combes, O.E. of Gilo Bend, Ariz., and Ford and T.C. of Shamrock; sisters, Mrs. Roma McCowley [McCoy] of Portales, N.M., one of Kelton and Mrs. Elsie Grimes of Shamrock, and two grandchildren.
