Wheeler Times - March 29, 1934
Mabel Louise, six-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Patterson, passed away Thursday, March 22, at her home in Sayre, Okla. She had the flu about five months ago, which affected her heart, later developing into dropsy. She was born Oct. 3, 1927, at Wellington, and departed this life March 22, 1934, at the age of six years, five months and 19 days.
The doctors attending did all that medical skill could do to restore her health, but the Lord saw best to take her home to Heaven, where sickness, sorrow, heartache nor sin can enter. She had the best of care during her illness. Her mother was at her bedside day and night.
She is survived by her parents and two brothers, Clarence Arnold and Marion Eugene, three grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Sanders of Wheeler, and Mrs. Patterson of Wellington, and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G.W. Simmons at the Baptist Church in Wheeler Friday, March 23, with burial in the Wheeler Cemetery
