Services for Olin W. "Cheesy" Pendleton, 84, were held at 3:00 p.m. January 28, 1986, in the Wheeler Church of Christ. Bill Morrison, minister, officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Pendleton died Sunday, January 26, 1986.

Born in Allen, he moved to Wheeler County with his family in 1916. He married Ruby Mae Bradshaw in 1922 at Wheeler. He was a farmer and a member of the Wheeler Church of Christ. He served as Wheeler County commissioner from 1954 until retiring in 1974.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Lowell Pendleton and Carroll Pendleton, both of Stinnett, Olin W. Pendelton [sic] Jr., Grand Prairie, and Charles R. Pendleton, Wellington; three brothers, Compton Pendleton, Dumas, Willie Ray Pendleton, Lake Oswego, Ore., and Wallace Pendleton, El Paso, two sisters, Nora Patterson and Mary Bradshaw, both of Wheeler; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Dub Goad, Arnold Jones, John McCoy, Mark Pond, R.D. Underwood, Bob Weatherly.

Honorary pallbearers were: Tom Britt, Leon Fillingim, K.D. Ford, Elmer Hubbard, Clark Reagan, Bill Owen, Joe Weatherly.

Ruby Mae Bradshaw Pendleton, age 92, of Wheeler, died Thursday February 15, 1996 in Amarillo.

Mrs. Pendleton was born to Jesse Allen and Mary Ethel Jordan Bradshaw on December 23, 1903 at Aubrey, TX. She moved to Wheeler County in 1916 from Wellington. She married Olin Webster Pendleton January 1, 1922 at Wheeler. Mrs. Pendleton was a homemaker, a member of the Church of Christ in Wheeler and a former member of the Wheeler Home Demonstration Club.

Survivors include four sons: Lowell Pendleton and Carroll Pendleton, both of Stinnett; Olin W. Pendleton Jr., of Grand Prairie and Charles Ray (Dick) Pendleton of Wellington; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
