Ricky Gene Quarles, 75, of Pampa, passed away at his home in Pampa on Thursday, August 16, 2018. He entered this life on March 28, 1943 in McLean, Texas to David Eugene Quarles and Bonnie Lee Campbell.
Rick moved to Pampa in 1960 from McLean and was a self-employed Auto Body Tech. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Rick married his sweetheart, Janette Vineyard in 1971 and spent 21 wonderful years together until her passing in 1992. He was an adventurous man who enjoyed off-roading, riding dune buggies, fishing and cooking out on the grill. Later in life, he would make frequent trips to Las Vegas and enjoy his time there. He was deeply loved by his family and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife; parents; brother, Jerry Quarles and lifelong friends, Raymond Parks and Ray Denham.
Those left behind to cherish a lifetime of memories are his four sons, Chad Quarles and wife Amy of Pampa, Eddie Quarles and wife Becky of Amarillo, Frankie Quarles and wife Cathy of Panama City, Florida, Ricky Quarles; six grandchildren, Megan Atwood, Morgan Quarles, Marlee Quarles, Alaina Quarles, Matt Quarles, Jenny Doddridge; five great-grandchildren and his caregiver and best friend, Casey Knutson of Pampa.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center at 1310 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79106 in honor of Rick.
Celebration of Life Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:00 am on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler, Texas with Brother Mike Watson of Hobart Baptist Church officiating. The family has entrusted the care of Rick to Winegeart Funeral Home.
