WHEELER - Services for Fred Reames, 69, will be today in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Campbell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Reames was a former Borger resident before he moved to Wheeler. He was employed with Phillips Petroleum Co. He had lived in Wheeler since 1958.

Survivors include his widow, Jewel; one son, Freddie Glenn of Wheeler; two brothers, Grady of Borger, and Cecil of Erick, Okla.; and three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Williams of Weatherford, Okla., Mrs. Flora McKnight of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Florence Mullins of Sacramento, Calif.

Ava Jewell Reames, 73, of 819 O'Daniel St., died at 7:20 p.m. Saturday in North Plains Hospital.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Wheeler by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

A native of Erick, Okla., she had been a Borger resident since 1977. She was a housewife and member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie in 1977, and two sons, Kenneth Reames and Clayton Reames.

Survivors include a son, Freddie Glenn Reames of Borger; three sisters, Mrs. Grady Reames of Borger, Mrs. Bertha Davis of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Raye Johnson of Tocoma [sic], Wash.
